Kumuha nang Naaayon sa Pangangailangan, Magbigay Lalo na kung May Kakayahan

Get accordingly to One's Needs, Give Especially when Capable

Writer: Elisha Rein De Vera (April 24, 2021)

Ever wonder how amazing Filipinos are for withstanding the ongoing quarantine that has started a year ago? Silent battles were conquered, and the continuous and coming ones are in the process of overcoming.

“Sometimes those who have little, have the most to give.”

In brighter light, it provides so much fulfilment observing the concept of Bayanihan is continuously emerging up to this day in such unique and outstanding ways that benefit the majority.

Limitless

Regardless of the ongoing battle with the pandemic, us, Filipinos, proved that not a single virus can break our faith in humanity. We have levelled up in so many ways! Ever heard of the community pantry? It is a service that provides free foods for the locals especially those who are suffering from consistently sustaining their basic needs. This concept had become popular this month and was continuously emerging on numbers of cities and provinces around the country.

“I am only one; but still I am one. I cannot do everything; but I can do something. And because I cannot do everything, I will not refuse to do something that I can do.”

In April 21, Thursday, a taho vendor moved the netizens heart by adding few cups of taho on the table set up by a group of kind hearted people called Project Starfish, and cups of taho for those who have not had breakfast yet and hungry in Barangay Panamitan, Kawit, Cavite. The community taho pantry, and the highlight of the story, Kuya Nelson who had happened to passed by the community pantry left the people with genuine smiles due to his act of kindness.

This heart-warming event had proved that compassion is for everyone. No matter who you are, where you stand, and what you believe, the heart for serving our Kababayans should not fade despite the typhoons in life that challenged us.
